1000 Paper kites is a community engaged art project to work to draw unity between each of us as humans and to conceptualize the actual human cost of the current state of warfare.
OUR MISSION
By giving a space for relatives of lost loved ones, we hope to showcase not only how high the death toll of warfare is, but also the intimate ways it has violated the integrity of our society and harmed members of our own community.
This project is inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ and his call for compassion and peace in the world. We as Christians hope to create a space where all those who have lost someone to war has a safe space to grieve and to honor their loved ones.
